The 6th EAVLD congress took place in Seville 24-26th October and it was great to see everyone in the flesh after such a long time. A lot of interesting talks were given and attendees were able to enjoy the fantastic weather, food and flamenco dancing. We are very pleased to announce that two new board members were elected during the general assembly: Jason Sawyer from the UK and Istvan Kiss from Hungary. In addition, the EAVLD board awarded three young, promising scientists with travel grants and a special prize, sponsored by FATRO. Congratulations Esther de Haan, Georgia Diakoudi and Francesca Paola Nocera with your prize!

We also awarded best oral communications and posters, with prizes from EAVLD or the congress sponsors Eurofins Ingenasa och IDEXX: Joan Marti Carreras (1st oral), Raffaele Scarpellini (2nd oral), Gaëlle Gonzalez (3rd oral), Virginia Mattioda (1st poster), Maddi Ovanguren (2nd poster) and Laura Pavliscak (3rd poster). An extra thanks to you for contributing to the congress content!
